Technology and Industrial Park, lies along the U.S. 29 corridor and future I-785 corridor, is proving to be a good investment for the area.
The 700-acre park located on N.C. 87, less than a mile from U.S. 29, is geared toward high-tech manufacturing companies.

    In the fall of 2004, AFG Wipes, a company based in Tel Aviv, opened a manufacturing plant in the park.  The Israeli parent company, Albaad, is the third largest producer of non-woven cloth products for the baby, skin care and household and health care industries.  AFG Wipes, which employs between 80 and 100 people, plans to employ 200 by 2008.  Already, an expansion is planned for 2006 that will add 500,000 square feet to the facility.

   The new industrial park lies in close proximity to Watlington Industrial Park, an area that is home to a diverse group of manufacturers.  The Watlington Industrial Park area, houses many industries that economic diversity to the community.    Diversity has been the byword for Reidsville, and the varied industries that the town has attracted have enabled the community to shed its reputation as strictly a tobacco town.

    The manufacturing companies have good reasons for choosing to locate in Reidsville.  The area’s work force has a reputation for high productivity and dependability.   Skills and technology training provided by Rockingham Community College help manufacturers continually upgrade their employees’ skills to meet the ever-changing advances in industrial technology.

    A good transportation network links Reidsville to major roadways and railroads, and allows easy access to many of the major marketing centers along the East Coast.  Reidsville is also close to Piedmont Triad International Airport.  Favorable tax rates, availability of industrial sites, good infrastructure, and abounding natural resources add to Reidsville’s allure as a good place to live and do business.
