The rapidly growing southern portion of Reidsville, which lies along the U.S. 29 corridor and the future I-785 corridor, is expected to see a lot of industrial growth in the future.
Reidsville is poised for that growth with the addition of the Reidsville Technology and Industrial Park. The 700-acre park located on N.C. 87, less than a mile from U.S. 29, is geared toward high-tech manufacturing companies. Several phases of construction are planned for the park. Lots in the initial 300-acre phase are available for tenants. The new industrial park lies in close proximity to Watlington Industrial Park, an area that is home to a diverse group of manufacturers.
The manufacturing companies have good reasons for choosing to locate in Reidsville. The area’s work force has a reputation for high productivity and dependability. Skills and technology training provided by Rockingham Community College help manufacturers continually upgrade their employees’ skills to meet the ever-changing advances in industrial technology.
A good transportation network links Reidsville to major roadways and railroads, and allows easy access to many of the major marketing centers along the East Coast. Reidsville is also close to the Piedmont Triad International Airport.
Favorable tax rates, availability of industrial sites, good infrastructure, and abounding natural resources add to Reidsville’s allure as good place to live and a good place to do business.
